Organization

The Thoreau Club in collaboration with the Tim Mayotte Tennis Academy organizes the ITF World Tennis Tour “Thoreau Tennis Open” valid for assigning of points in the ITF and WTA world rankings, with a total prize money of 60K.

Registration

Entries must be received in writing by ITF and closes 21 days before the tournament starts.

Draws

Main Singles Draw 32 players with 8 seeded players. 17-20 direct acceptance, 8 qualifiers, 4 wild cards, 0-2 special exempt, 0-1 junior exempt.
Doubles Main Draw 13 direct access pairs admitted based on the best combined ITF rankings, with 3 wild cards.
Doubles Main Draw 14 direct access pairs admitted based on the best combined ITF rankings, with 2 wild cards.

Seeding

In singles, seeding shall be based on the following order of priority:
A. Players with a WTA Singles Ranking from Monday seven (7) days before the Tournament Week. Ties shall be randomly drawn.
B. If seed positions remain available, players with an ITF World Tennis Singles Ranking from Monday seven (7) days before the Tournament Week. Ties shall be randomly drawn.
Players without a WTA or ITF World Tennis Singles Ranking shall not be seeded.

Limits Meetings

• Singles Main Draw The best of three (3) tie-break sets, unless a “Modified Format” is otherwise approved by the ITF. Ad scoring must be used.

• Singles Qualifying The best of three sets, with two (2) tie-break sets, and if the score reaches one set all, one match tie-break game (10 points) shall be played to decide the match. Ad scoring must be used.
